“One Acts Community Performance” On Monday, November 14, 2002, at 7 p.m., the Bloomfield Drama Department will present its production of “Haunted by Handel,” written by director, Amanda Rojas. “Haunted by Handel” is set on a farm in the year 2000. The main protagonist, Dana, spends her life after college living on her grandparents’ farm. She goes to burn her family’s weekly trash in the farm’s burn barrel. But this time, she also burns her copy of Handel’s Messiah the masterpiece by George Frederic Handel, that she failed to conduct in her college music class. As the score burns, Handel’s ghost appears at the barrel desperate to know why he’s there. Can Handel and Dana work out what happened with Messiah? Does Handel make it back to the afterlife? This year, admissions is $3.00 for K-12 students and $5.00 for adults. The admission costs will go toward updating the auditorium’s stage lighting for all future programs, costumes, makeup, traveling costs for competition, and all other necessities for our program to continue. Thank you for coming to support Bloomfield’s One Act program as they present “Haunted by Handel!”
